Application for Vehicle Finance

I was quite shocked when I app**** for vehicle finance and it was declined due to an old ABSA Personal Loan I had way back in 2011. This loan was subsequently repaid in May 2013. All my applications with various institutions declined my application due to this error on ABSA's part. When I queried this, (there were no reference to this loan on my iTC Report I drew from Transunion - thus I had no idea that this was still reflecting negatively on my name), Absa acknowledged the error on their part and furnished me with a Paid Up letter and confirmed that they have sent through the necessary letter to the Credit Bureau. Not sure what this would help as this Account was not reflected badly on my Credit Profile anyway. But al the other banks could pick this up when they considered my Application. <br> <br> I requested ABSA subsequently to resubmit my Vehicle Finance Application again last week Tuesday and I am still awaiting feedback in this regard. Not a word. When I call to follow up I just get told that their systems are offline. I mean really???<br> <br> Quite annoyed.!!
