Apple and Samsung Pay not working with my bank cards

I have been trying to add my bank cards for NFC payments on Samsung Pay and on iPhone with zero success and no one at Absa are able to find the issue. I have the latest apps and smartphones but no joy to date. Absa stated it is certain cards that start with a certain number. Surely this can not be the case. Any assistance will be appreciated. Please do not instruct me to visit my nearest branch, if so I will move my business to another bank.
