Apparently cheque cards no longer exist with Absa

Firstly, I need a cheque card to do PayPal and international transactions. I went to my branch, requested to replace my debit card with a cheque card. Few days later I go collect it, and receive a DEBIT card AGAIN but just personalised.<br> That's not what I wanted.<br> Reception calls head office, head office spins a story that cheque cards don't work for international payments anymore.<br> I then phone customer service myself, they have no idea about cheque cards not working, they checked my card, and said its a debit cheque card.<br> That is not what I asked for. I am paying for a cheque account, and I want a cheque card. Let me decide for myself whether it works online payments or not.<br> I'm highly irritated that wrong item sent, nobody knows what's going on.
