Appalling service received at Absa

I went to Absa Florida on Thursday for assistance of statements on my late mom's account and was refused asstance even though I was in possrssion of the original letter of authority from the masters court as well as the original death certificate and my original south african green bar codef ID. Firstly I was attended by a guy at customer service who was very impatient with me and told me my mom closed her accoints in 2016. I then told him to check on their system again as this could not be possible cos I my mom would often withdraw from the branch closest to home. Anyway he was quite annoyed and started raising his voice at me. I then asked him to calm down because and reminded him that I was the client and not him. Anyway he later went to the back and spoke to his manager who then called me to the office. I explained to the manager that I needed statements on my late moms account as I suspect ***** due to suspicious activities. She told me she not assist me and I must come back the next day when the manager above her returns. I went back home and called legal for advise and was advised that as long as I'm in possession of the letter of authority from court I need to be treated ad the account holder as if she were standing right there and requesting for the information. I went back to the branch and demanded tp be assisted and still received no assistance. I later went to police station to try and get their assistance as the absa manager said they will only assist me once I get them supeaned . While at the police station I received a phone call from the manager asking me if I was in possession of the original documents and I told her yes so she then agreed to assist me but by then it was already too late as their closing already. On Friday afternoon I then returned to absa for the statements where I was now met by this manager Trudy and the supposed other manager. Trudy asled me to show her my original documents of which I did. To my dismay and horror, my mom's account shown that she withdrew a large some of money and closed the account.I asked them if they could assist me to check if indeed she was physically there herself in the branch to make the withdrawal as this did not tie in with her behaviour. They said they could not assist me becausr the transaction was not made at their branch. I said fair enough it wad not madr there ,however, surely they can liaise with that particular branch and assist me as they would be in a better off position then I am to query it for me through their internal process. They refused to assist me. I was very appalled at their refusal because my mom had banked for many years with them and they couldn't assist me with this request. My mom had 2 other accounts held at other banks and as we speak they are busy conducting internal investigations to assist me. Absa is the only bank which refuses to assist me to help determine what actually transpired on my late mom's account. For me its as if they are not being fairly transparent as though something is being covered up. I dont see why the other 2 major banks can assist me yet they cannot or refuse to. My mom was an 84 years old elderly woman who might of been taken for granted right there in the Absa branch at the time. But Absa refuses to assist me to try and trace the last days my mom was alive. It really saddens my heart that they have the means but are unwilling. I would surely not want to deal with such poor and unprofessional service in my life.
