appalling service!

on 23/09/2016 i called absa regarding my geyser claim submitted in May 2016. a new geyser was fitted and moved to the outside. the old geyser was left in the roof. since then, our prepaid electricity is sky high every month. there is a leak in the bathroom and it has gotten worse now. i have escalated the matter to SED partners on numerous occasions, and they kept saying they will send someone out. the plumber came in may or june and said all is well. the leak is still there and i think that when the geyser was fitted outside, the plumber could have knocked one of the pipes, as the leak has not stopped since. i spoke to Pumesa Bistole at absa insurance on friday 23/09/2016, who indicated she will send out the plumber to check the electrical issue, as well as the pipe thats leaking. she said if its a leaking pipe, a new claim needs to be submitted, which i agreed to. however, if the plumber knocked the existing pipe or did not drain the old geyser properly, this needs to be stipulaled. i also want to be present when the plumber comes out, as he might not admit to knocking a pipe, and then a new claim needs to be submitted. since friday, i have not received any report or update from absa. the plumber never went out, to date. i called this morning, spoke to Morere Monama, and he couldnt assist me and stated abruptly, he will get pumesa to assist. i held on for 27minutes, before he came back to me and said that the plumber notified them, that an electrician needs to be sent out. i was about to ask why no update was given to me, just to find that he dropped the call. hence my complaint.

my request is as follows:

1. Absa to send out the plumber and electrician together, to ascertain why the cost of our electricity is so high. the geyser takes forever to heat up, as we monitor it daily. 2 hours to heat up, is about 12 units, which would normally last us about 3 days.

2. the plumber to indicate what is the cause of the current leak in the bathroom, which has been there since the new geyser was fitted outside.

please note: we have had the above problems since the new geyser was fitted and the matter has been escalated to SED partners since then. i was only told on friday 23/09/2016, to contact my insurance. the lady at SED partners is Alina Mashaba.

my id no: 801 ********** 085

raquel johnson

my e-mail addr is: **********
