Appalling credit-card application turnaround time

I electronically app**** for a Virgin Money Credit Card on 2 June 2016. I called the next day to confirm that the application has been received and that I've supp**** all supporting docs. I alwayas called and kept in contact so as to have the process escalated and was told by various consultants that they've sent e-mails/messages to the relevant dept for escalation. I have never received calls/communication from ABSA concerning progress of this aplication, except an e-mail on 14 June which confirmed that the application have been approved. After such e-mail I called & called again & again & again and different consultants all sang the same song of "your card number will be generated within 24hrs and you'll then be contacted regarding delivery of the card". The last call-centre consultant that I spoke to today, just rudely dropped the line while I was talking. I've been an ABSA customer since 1996 and have never experienced good service from this bank. Can the responsible ABSA employee pull their finger out of their lazy @ss and get my card to me ASAP!!!!

So, as expected, nobody has bothered to contact me "SHORTLY" which alludes to ABSA's Daphne Le Grange being a professional **** and not interested in "CUSTOMER CARE" at all. Thus, I pro-actively followed-up with the call-centre this morning again and this time around they could at least confirm that a card-number was generated (applause), however I was told that I'm supposed to call ********** 411 to speak to "New Business Applications", which ironically was the number that I actually dialled, but whether you call such number is irrelevant anyway because you get to speak to everyone, but the "New Business Applications". I ended up being transferred from "Tom", "****" to f*cking "Harry" who all ran me through various unnecessary security questions with the intent to not assist me, but only to be able to transfer me to "New Business Applications". The rub is that these call-transfers are an endless loop of being tranferred back to to the same irrelevant "NON New Business Applications" personnel who cannot assist. ABSA, get your f*cking sh*t together and start WORKING for this client who you've made thousands of rands off through the years!!! YOUR SERVICE IS PATHETIC TO THE CORE!!!

Called again and upon insistance of talking to a relevant person was transferred to Daphne's colleague and below is the non-relevant e-mail response concerning a ***** notification that I apparently made which had what to do with my query about when I'm receiving the credit-card that I've been aplying for? I never notified ABSA about any f*cking ***** query!!!!! I've now forwarded this matter and all communication to the Ombudsman of Banking Services because the manner by which this query was handled is in direct violation of the Banks Act, 1990.
