anyone actually do their job here?
Dear ABSA, Dont get too excited, that 5 star rating isn't for you, that's for Hilda, the poor lady who had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with me today. Through all my anger and frustrations (proudly brought to you by ABSA) Hilda managed to keep her cool and remain professional. Right, to the crux of the matter I want to give you a quick lesson in economics, clearly you need it! ABSA is a listed company and as such has shareholders (my mum was actually one of them, recently sold her shares becuase of your absolutely dismall performance over the last decade or so). Shareholders expect an ROI (return on investment), and how this happens is as follows. ABSA needs to provide a service for which it charges fees, how ever due to ABSA's absolutely shockingly poor service over the last few years, you have lost a lot of clients to banks like Capitec. Now why does this happen you might ask. Well, its simple, you reduce your staff compliment to boost your profits (bottom line) in order to convince shareholders you're making money, when i fact you're not really - you're cutting costs detrimentally, this obviously impacts the (so called) service you (so called) render, which leads to unhappy clients, which causes them to move to other banks, which causes you to lose money, which causes your share price to drop, which causes shareholders to sell their shares, which causes ABSA to have less capital investment which in the end means even less staff and even worse service and not long after shut doors. Oh boy that was a mouth full. Well James, How do we fix this you might ask. Really simple, improve your service!!!! I was tempted to write this with the use of expletives, the like of which would make a sailor blush! I am utterly dissapointed in ABSA. How long does it take you to do a simple life insurance policy? I am registering a bond with absa and doing the life insurance for my wife with absa, using absa affiliated bond registered attourneys, and yet ABSA does not want to do their job! Justify this for me - I called again today (after having used my contract allotted 100 minutes already this month) from your chatterton road branch in PMB. As you can imagine I was on hold for quite a while, until the lovely Hilda came on the line. Now unfortunately for Hilda, all she could do was confirm what I already know and not give me what I need to know. Apparently the person who was supposed to contact me today wasn't available! This is the worst excuse i have ever heard in my life. Imagine walking into a restaurant, ordering your meal and being told sorry you can't have that, the chef isn't available today. How long do you think that restaurant will remain in business? Simple economics people, make sure someone is able to attend to the needs of your clients or risk losing them to the competition. I need the policy information (which apparently still needs to be underwritten, even though you have already had your "3 to 4 working days" I was told it would take. I have the bond registration attorneys waiting for this info so they can do their jobs, so that then the conveyencers can do theirs jobs. You see, everyone wants to do their job except absa, why are you providing service (if one can call what you do service) that reminds one inherently of a guavament department? Get off butt so your brain can get a rush of fresh air and do your jobs, that it, I'm not asking for favours, I am asking you do your jobs which your bosses should be asking of you because at the end of the day thats what the shareholders want. Now hilda has said someone will contact me tomorrow, but I believe Halaal ***s will be Discovered first, convince me otherwise!
