Another Absa insurance rejection

Towards the end of November we logged a claim for an underground water leak. Claim number *** was registered. A plumber was appointed 30th Nov to attend to our claim. On 2nd December work was completed and issue seemed resolved. Still waiting for the tiling contractor to complete tile repairs. I came home today, 1th December at around 12h30. Noticed that water was bubbling up from area repaired. I then contacted the insurance to advise. A \Veliso"attended to me and advised that my policy would have to be endorsed and that my claim would be registered but rejected on the basis that our underground pipes were corroded. In essence they would not be responsible for any related claims until I had replaced all the piping. I find this absolutely appalling. What is the point of insurance?? Not once was the \""situation\"" concerning the pipes mentioned to me in any conversations or correspondence with the parties involved in the initial claim. Furthermore how on earth should we know that house that we bought nearly 15 years ago would suffer corroded pipes and that this would not be an insurable event with our insurer. Absa simply does not want to pay for a legit claim. Damn the client!"""
