Allowing ********** debit orders
Last year I reported suspicious debit orders. I also requested ABSA to please look into the Companies as I did not authorise any debit orders. ABSA however informed me that I must sort it out with the Companies itself and they accordingly merely provided me with the contact numbers. After numerous telephone calls and frustration I eventually succeeded in stopping the debit orders and the companies even admitted that they wrongfully debited my account(for 6 years)
Much to my surprise, two months later - they did the same thing. I immediately phoned ABSA who again said they cannot do anything. I then phoned the ***** hotline who also informed me that they are not going to do anything.
I then wrote an e-mail to the ***** department requesting that they please look into the company, as I am obviously not the only client being targeted. I then received a phone call informing me that they can merely put me through to the company. The line was however busy and I never heard from ABSA again.
So ABSA - if it is not YOUR problem - whose problem is it?!! If you are not investigating companies that **********ly debit clients' accounts, why do we have bank accounts?!
