AIP ABSA looking very *****

I am not sure if this is legit because I have had this vehicle for 5 years with full comprehensive cover now this random woman calls and then I receive a ***** looking email requesting my ID number and proof of cover or they will take out an insurance on my behalf and deduct additional insurance premium R1,099.61, together with my monthly instalment (cue shocked face) I have insurance, how can you take out insurance for me, and debit my account without my permission....Also, is this even legit, who is AIP, I have not dealt with them now I need to submit my ID number and my policy schedule to them. Something is fishy!
