African not work like a dictatorship
AVAF has to be one of the most unreasonable companies in exitance. I got vehicle finance by them, but they refuse to change the debit order day to the date I requested. I have been paying for the past 4 years on a different date to which my salary is deposited, yet they want to dictate when to debit my account based on the salary date even though the vehicle is used for business. Very disappointed at the lack of flexibility of such a huge creditor.

18 Jun 2025, 18:18Could you please assist again. One of your agents changed my debit order date to a date, not agreed to with me. I called the complaints department, and they are still not flexible. I am expected to submit bank statements and pay slips to fix their mistake. I've about had it with this bank poor service, could someone with a clear head please intervene.

19 Jun 2025, 11:16Good day. I called in yesterday in response to an email notification received on the 3 June 2025. It stated there was changes to my debit order amount as was "agreed" with me. I was informed yesterday that my debit order date has bow changed to the 3rd of the month by the collections team. I hadn't agreed to the change, all I asked was that I be debited on the 1st and for ABSA to cease harassing me. I am bombarded with calls SMS's and WhatsApp messages demanding payment on the same day the debit order runs. I advised the agent of this, and she referred the matter to the supervisor, and they say their policy dictates that they only change the debit order date to the day I get paid and that was not negotiable. I have previously fought to be put on the 1st, and it seems this is the only channel I can go as your contact Centre is not budging. I am definitely not going to email my pay slip/bank statements for them to mess up my dates even further. I hope I won't have to block the debit order and do an EFT instead; I've about had it can't wait to settle my account in November.
