Activation of my Credit Card

I have received my absa credit card on the 21st of Feb 2017. I was told that the card would be active in 2 working days, so I had waited.

After 2days it still wasn't activated so I called the call center to which the consultant confirmed to me that my card wasnt active, she requested that I send in my documents which I did and was told that in 24/48hours my card will be activated. I called everyday to which I was told to send in my documents and I did yet again. I was later told to email ********** and had no response.

I decided last week friday (3rd march) that it would be the last time I call the call center and I was told to email my doucments to Fica escalations with all my documents and that my card will be activated in 24/48 working hours, and that I would receive an sms when my card is activated.

SO on the 7th of march I went to Absa bank in Musgrave KZN and spoke to a very friendly consultant who called fica and was told that I needed to submit a certified copy of my proof of residence!!!!!!!

I was not contacted and told I needed to submit the certified copy!!! So that very day I went to the post office and got a certified copy of my capitec bank statement that I can use as my proof of residence. Till today I havent heard back nor has my card been activated. its been 2 weeks. whats the use of having a credit card if i can not make use of it???
