Activation of my Credit Card

<p>I was contacted by Absa Bank in January 2017 and they offered me a Credit Card. I suppose they got my contact details on a Database somewhere. I then decided to take them up on their offer. They asked me to have my Id, Bank Statements and Proof of Address ready as I need to hand same to the Courier on date of delivery of my card. The Courier delivered my card to my workplace in the beginning of February 2017 and the Courier scanned all the documents I handed to him into a portable scanner. On 14 February 2017 I activated my pin by phoning the number Absa Bank provided me with. I then went to the grocery store to buy some groceries, but to my embarressment the card was declined. I then immediately contacted Absa Bank who then confirmed that the problem will be resolved within 48 hours. However, after constantly contacting Absa Bank and sending all my documents to their Fica Department, my card is still not activated. Today I phoned them again. I held on for more than 25 minutes. Someone eventually answerred and asked me to hold on, then I was cutt off. I am really furios as they offered me a Credit Card. I did not contact them to apply. What is the use of having a card that is of no use. After phoning several times since 14 February 2017, I am still unable to use the card. I agreed to take the card as any household needs back up for emergencies. It is the worse service I ever had.</p>
