Account suspended again
We as a Church have a business account with ABSA and our account was frozen last month around the 20th of April. We went into the branch and the banker helped us, we were there in excess of 4 hours and handed in all the documents needed for FICA. The freeze was lifted only about two days later. Now fast forward to this month. Again we wanted to make payments on the 22nd of May just to find out our accound has been suspended again.I sent an email on Monday the 23rd to the banker but he did not reply. I went to the branch at The Glen but the banker was not there, and one of the managers told me they would follow it up and get back to me. It is our month end and we need to use OUR account but it is suspended. I phoned the helpline and Innocent tried to help me and put me through to one of the managers and the phone was cut off. This is really unacceptable, our account was suspended without any warning and we cannot do business. Tebogo Noqamza is our banker, but this gentleman is overworked and cannot get to all of his clients. The suspension was not of his fault but from the banks "back office" We get no joy from any form of complaint that we give, no follow ups, no feedback and it is not how business should be done. I do hope that this can be sorted out
