Account still locked 2weeks after FICA

Account locked without notification. After contacting a premium banker I was told its due to FICA and need to be done at a branch. This is the first financial institution I've had to go in to a branch to FICA. Disappointed I embark on the 3hour process due to queues and ABSA's super fast computerised process. A week later account still locked. Back to the branch I go, another 2hours, told they will send a expedite email. One week later account still locked...So I guess back to the branch I go for a few more hours, but this time to close my accounts as well. I pay for non-existent premium banking. The need to go in to physical branches to get things done. Zero accountability or customer concern. This is a rainy day account, what if I needed this money? I raised a complaint via the ABSA process, no reply a week later. Seems you only respond when its a public complaint, no wonder you losing market share. This move is long overdue. End of last year I closed a old savings account, again having to go sit at a branch, only to find a month later its still active. The excuse, ABSA process require some other department to first phone the customer and persuade them to stay on and that the local branch can’t do it. After a long argument the branch could miraculously do it in branch. ABSA clearly don’t care about customer satisfaction or providing basic hassle free services. Its a disgrace what your bank has become.

So yesterday after visiting a branch, again, I was told that my ID was not uploaded. Why this could not be established a week after FICA when I enquired in branch why the account is still locked, I don’t know. Why the virtual private banker I emailed couldn’t tell me this, I don’t know. Why the FICA help email line couldn’t tell me this, I don't know. All I know is 2 weeks after FICA I am still locked out and have to wait a further 24-48 hours (this is the expedited time) to have access to MY money.
