Account still active even after paying it off

Took a 1 month quick loan with Absa in February 2020, loan was paid up at the end of the month. To this date, loan is still active on the credit beruau after a year. went tot he Absa branch in Pretoria central, cnr Lilian Ngoyi and Pretorious street. I was told they cannot help me and i need to contact experian and credite beruau by myself. How is it my job to update on the credit beruau. To this date, that account is messing up with my credit score and apparently Absa cannot assist me. Not happy at all
