so in 18/11/2023 i had purchased a vehicle from a dealership and then when i received the contract via email i was not happy so i laid a complaint at the absa bank.11/12/2023 i had a meeting and absa decided collect the vehicle from my premises.13/12/2023 the dealer request for the vehicle and i then explain to absa that the dealer requested the car as they have a buyer for it.absa tells me they have a meeting with the dealership and they will handle it.the 1st installment was due on the 25/01/2024 and i was told by absa through chats that i should stop all payments at my bank as the matter is still being investigated.I have been calling and emailing absa constantly and now in august they tell me that they cannot assist me.i then request for the vehicle to be returned back to me and now they saying the vehicle has been repossed as i failed to make payment. I have sent proof that the Bank employee sent me a text that i should stop all payment but they do not want to accept the proof and now they telling me the car is going to be auctioned if i dont pay R80 000.my question is how was the vehicle reposessed from me when the 1st installment was only due 25/01/2024 and the vehicle was taken from my house for safe keeping as they said on the 11/12/2023 and on the 13/12/2023 when the dealer wanted the car back why did they not return it.now all the blame is on me when i have proof that i was instructed by the bank employee to go to my bank and stop and reverse payments. I have sent all the voice notes and communication to all the departments including absa legal, actionline and customercare but the do not want to accept.the absa employees whom i had a meeting with and who collected the asset do not answer my calls and reply to my emails anymore also. please assist. thank you
