Account closure

Good day, I wanted to close my cheque account with Absa. The forms and everything was filled in. When I got to the teller to pay the amount outstanding is was less then R100. The teller could not make payment into my account because there was till a transaction pending on the account from the previous week. The bank now wants me to pay R300 plus which I am not willing to pay because hence closure was suppose to that day. I'm willing to pay the amount of less R100 that was originally given to be paid at the tellers.
