Abysmal excuse for customer service

I was sent an SMS requiring me to come in and change my debit cards for chip and pin cards. I did this and was charged R240 for the new cards. After much protest, these charges were reversed. When I used the cards at the Sunward Park branch I was informed that they are Afrikaans cards. Since I am English I cannot understand why Absa issued me with Afrikaans cards? I wrote to the branch manager, Leon Barnard on 31 July and he has not bothered to formulate a response - disgusting excuse for customer service. I went to the East Rand Mall branch on Saturday and spoke to Ragin/ Ragini who made us wait in the line for the tellers to prove to her that the cards were in fact Afrikaans. She had no idea how to solve the issue and phoned the support line who told her what we were saying about the cards being Afrikaans. She then proceeded to tell us to wait in the long line at Enquiries to have the cards changed for English cards. Why should we wait in the line to correct an error that Absa made? We have already completed the process once. Her idea of customer service is atrocious - did you train her? I demand this be rectified immediately
