Absolutely no customer service at Absa

Went to Absa at Cornubia Mall to draw a reasonably large sum of cash needed for an event. After looking for a staff member for 10 minutes (not exaggerating), I was told the BANK I was standing in, did not handle any cash... I thought maybe we were on a hidden camera prank show, but apparently not...

I had to then head to the branch in Pinetown on Friday and order the money as more than the bulk limit they have. Arrived Saturday morning at 8am when doors open only to be told bulk teller only starts at 8.30am. However, this is only when she arrives and starts signing in and getting ready apparently... She started allowing people in at 8.55am with not a trace of concern that the clients have been sitting around for nearly an hour after bank doors open.

The branch manager seems as unconcerned...

Seems the bank doesn't seem to understand that there are now multiple options for people to bank with and maybe there should be more effort to retain people's business. After 21 years, they've lost mine...
