Abso Does Not Give You What They Promised

<p>I have a student account with Absa. I opened the account because Absa claims to give us a number of benefits including:</p> <p>-A R20 Burger King or McDonalds discount voucher; or a R25 Vida e Caffe' discount voucher<br />-1 free movie ticket per month at Nu Metro (2D only)</p> <p>-50 megs of free data per month through MTN, Cell C, Telkom or Vodacom (on prepaid or top-ups)<br />-R150 discount on a single trip via Eldo coaches or Intercity, on any national published route</p> <p> </p> <p>I tried redeeming a movie ticket in March, they sent me an SMS stating that I will recieve and SMS with a voucher code "shortly".</p> <p>In April, I tried redeeming a McDonald's voucher, the same thing happened.</p> <p>The SMS's with the voucher codes didnt come. So I went into the Wits Absa Branch to ask about what is actually happening, and they couldnt help me. I also asked the lady to please cancel my Absa rewards, however, twenty something rand was still deducted from my account for Absa Rewards for the last two months.</p> <p> </p> <p>I finally recieved a voucher code for McDonalds on the last day of May when I tried to redeem it in April. When I tried to use the code at McDonalds, the code was declined. I still havent recieved anything in terms of the movie voucher that I tried to redeem in March.</p> <p> </p> <p>Just to redeem the voucher codes, I used more than R20 airtime just to get a defective code and a no-show "free movie".</p> <p> </p> <p>This is extremely dissappointing since Absa's sales people claimed to give us so many benefit.</p>
