ABSA's personal loans department in shambles

I app**** for payment relief on my personal loan on 31 March by replying to an SMS that I received from ABSA. After several phone calls to the call centre in April, I was assured that the payment relief was successfully app**** to my account. However, my debit order still went off in April. After another phone call, I was told that the payment relief will be in effect from May due to the volume of the applications received. My debit order still went off in May. I called again. The agent again assured me that the relief payment request was successful and my account was incorrectly debited. He then reversed the payment. Now I get a phone call from ABSA to say that I'm in arrears and I need to make a payment immediately. I was then told that this matter would be referred back to the payment relief department. I am now being harassed by ABSA's personal loans department for a payment. Do the people working at ABSA actually know what is happening in their departments? This is quite unacceptable to be treated in this manner.
