Absa's logic is equivalent to the logic a pineapple has
When a person wants to open an account at a bank, one would think that the bank would be more than happy to assist - because money. But Absa either thinks it is 1990 or they just don't need more clients. In order to open an account, one needs a proof of residence. But apparently a signed letter from a landlord along with a municipal bill just won't do. Banks require their own little form to be signed and completed by the landlord. Fine, so you would think that Absa has this form available for download somewhere - nope. So then, I asked the Facebook chat bot to help me out and send me the form. Their advice was this: "Thank you for reaching out to us. The form is attainable at the branch, anytime you are available you can visit your Absa nearest branch to fill in that form."
So by that ridiculous logic - I would have to go to an Absa branch, wait in line to collect a form. Go home. Ask landlord to sign said form. Go back to Absa & wait in line. Seriously? What century is this? Surely you could email the form so that I could print at home, ask landlord to sign & then go in to a branch? Why one earth should I have to go to a branch twice? Clearly you don't care about my time, but what about the planet Absa? What about the planet? You want me to make 2 trips for 1 purpose? Fuel is expensive & if I spend all my money on fuel, there will be nothing left for me to open an account with you so all of this will have been for naught. Also, the planet is dying and you want me to jump in my car and drive places for no reason - come one Absa - that is not Africanacity!
