Absa’s incompetence shines through Again!!!!

On 20 October 2025 I made a purchase on Shein’s website. There was a glitch on the system and the website said the payment did not go through, however every attempt from my private banker at FNB to get my money back is fruitless. Absa insists that the money was paid back to me on the 21st of October the day after the payment, but it’s NOT in my account so it obviously IS NOT PAID BACK!!!!!

Hello, I DID respond to your e-mails, with PROOF of transaction on the 1st of December at 10:18 already, immediately after I have received your e-mail. The payment was made with my FNB credit card, I have sent the account number to you via e-mail. If my e-mail response was not sufficient, please let me know what additional information you need? I have sent you proof that the payment went off my account but was not returned on the 21st of October as claimed by Absa. FNB private clients service dealt with ABSA on my behalf, I don’t know who they talked with who claimed that the payment was returned. The purpose of having a private client service is to assist with these matters. Would you like me to try and obtain the ABSA agent information from FNB to continue with this?

Why did I get an email today to say that the case is closed if you sent me a message yesterday to inform me that you are assisting me?

I am requesting a refund I did not receive a refund. I made the payment but there was a glitch so the seller said they did not receive payment, Absa said the seller receiced the payment, I did not receive the goods so I want the money to be returned to me. I am communicating with BOTH FNB and Absa in the same emails and seems to be the middle man now having to communicate with both banks. I have asked FNB to send you the CQLS reference number.
