ABSA’s Failure to Respond - Causing Financial Strain
I am extremely disappointed with ABSA’s lack of response to my repeated claims and emails sent to Angie Kgantsi (Malebye) since 8 December 2025. Despite multiple follow-ups, I’ve received little more than automated replies and vague acknowledgments — with no meaningful resolution.
I sent emails on the following dates, each containing queries or supporting documentation:
8 December 2025
12 January 2026 15 January 2026 18 January 2026 22 January 2026 26 January 2026
These emails included attachments with supporting documents and outlines for all relevant claims I submitted to the Trust.
The lack of engagement has left me in a difficult position.
Because ABSA failed to respond or reimburse me timeously, I was forced to borrow money to cover urgent expenses that should have been paid through the claims process. As of today, I am still waiting for close to R8000 in reimbur*****ts — funds I had to pay out of pocket due to ABSA’s delay.
This lack of accountability has caused real financial strain, and I am still waiting.
I trust ABSA will urgently investigate this matter, provide a clear explanation, and ensure the outstanding amounts are reimbursed without further delay.
