ABSA/Ford Credit has no integrity

In 2019/2020 I received a phone call from an ABSA/Ford Credit Consultant letting me know that the balance owing on my vehicle finance had been written off and that I should proceed to my nearest ABSA branch to sign and receive my change of ownership papers... Fast forward to 2022 and lo and behold I am now listed on the credit bureau for owing over R17 000 for the same vehicle that I now own outright... How is this possible??? This is outrageous!
