ABSA you do not have empathy for the BENEFICIARIES left behind

Good day, Although I have logged a Hello Peter complaint regarding ABSA. Once again the family has to suffer because ABSA don't have their act Together.

So here I go, Name and shame. in December 2025, Kedebone Mashego at the ABSA Woodbridge branch accepted all the required estate documents for my late mother. She queried the fact that the letter of authority had a watermark, which i informed her that is how it appears on the government online portal. She communicate that she will have to ask for assistance regarding accepting the watermark copy. After consulting with her superior, she confirmed that it is acceptable.

Russell Edwards from ABSA informed me that he will work with my cases and will be provided me with feedback. Russell has gone missing in action, not surprised.

I then received a email from Melissa Nel from ABSA, requesting to provide the letter of authority without the watermark. I once again had to explain the reason and that Kedebone did accept the watermark copy in December 2025 already.

know more than two months later and a Hellopeter complaint, ABSA places an unnecessary hurdle to prevent paying out the benefit. This is unacceptable.

I wonder who is going to call me know to assist, ABSA makes contact with you only when you lodge a Hello Peter complaint just to quiet the complainant down. Thereafter you are put on the back burner till the next time you complain.

Well done ABSA you are treating your customers so unfairly, not to mention the poor beneficiaries who has to cope with an unresolved estate.
