ABSA, very disappointing

<p>Hello. I did an Internet payment on Monday for R29040.00 instead of R2940.00. I realized immediately that I had made this mistake and went straight to Absa my branch in Plumstead and asked for help. No one could or would help. All they said is it must go home and send an email to dispute s and sit and wait. I insisted that Marious who is at Plumstead send an email on my behalf and copy me in. He eventually did this and I never ended up getting copied in but I did get a copy of this. This was at 10: 52. As I have a copy. I then waited and no response. I phoned the person I paid the incorrect amount of money to and informed him that my bank was sorting it out. I can send you a copy of this. Tuesdays I still heard nothing so I phoned Capitec and heard that this man had spent most of the funds already. They immediately put an hold on his account for 7 days and we're waiting on absa getting hold of them. My funds reflected in his account at 3pm on Monday . This should of never happened if absa had acted on my behalf and stopped immediately. I feed Capitec has done more for me than my own bank. Reference ********** 7 from Capitec. They then phoned me back on Tuesday to say he had phoned them on Tuesday at 8 15 to ask for the account to be unblocked. I sent off 2 more emails to disputes myself and also delta with a manager Paul Forte who then already send more emails. Reference CCP ********** to formal action line. I have reported this at Diep River Police station as this person has a few ***** dealings.</p>
