ABSA verification request and messaging system not working -

When i try to create a new beneficiary or pay a new beneficiary, the system advises that a verification request has been sent to the app on my verification device, but no verification is ever forthcoming, and i am advised that ABSA's messaging system is not working. This has been the case for many months, and I always have to go through the "resend" process 3 times and wait the 1 minute until it allows me to generate a code on the app. I have reported this to ABSA three times and I have received an acknowledgment advising that ‘We promise to be in touch soon with a personal response’, but no contact with me is ever made and no reply ever received.

I have just had a call from ABSA re this issue, but they could not try to resolve the problem because the ABSA banking app was not working, but the issue that concerns me more is that the caller, despite calling me on the correct cell number (082-------), informed me that the number listed as my registered cell number is 082------- – this has never been my cell number (was my wife’s number but was cancelled more than 5 years ago). I continue to receive messages from ABSA on my correct cell number (login, deposits, payments, balance alerts, etc.) and prior to this problem arising about 3-4 months ago I received verification requests on this number, so I do not understand how a (cancelled) number which was never mine has somehow become my registered cell number.
I get the impression that ABSA cannot seem to grasp what should be a very simple problem to resolve, and they don't have a workable solution.

ABSA have been in contact with me and the matter has been resolved. Problem with the verification request was resolved by deleting the app on my phone, redownloading and installing it (painless exercise) and reregistering for internet banking, so it would seem that a gremlin had perhaps snuck into my phone. Now with the correct phone numbers in place all is good.
