To whom it may concern , i ran into financial Difficulty recently i was approached by a tracing agent Mr Martin Klopper i was told he acts on behalf of absa bank , an arrangement was made with Mr klopper to pay in a sum of 8000 immiadtely , i raked up a sum of R6000 an made payment towards my arrears , therefater i was told telephonically he will arrange a payment plan , so a month past , i paid my normal installment for the month , then boom last week i get a email from attorneys , requesting i get into contact with them or the will resposses my vehicle , i have told them i am prepared to pay a sum of R2000 towards my arreras per mont with my installment they have now come back to me today after i sent an email asking them if the bank got back to them .

This is what i get told : We refer to the above matter and advise that the Bank’s Legal Department has now furnished us with the following instructions:-

Current Arrears: R9859.10 Legal Costs: R2300.00 (vat inclusive) Instalment Amount: R3792.32

The Bank has advised that they are prepared to afford you a period of three (3) months within which to settle the outstanding arrears and legal costs as mentioned above. However, this indulgence will not include the normal monthly instalment in the sum of R2792.32, which must be paid on due date and in addition to the payments made towards the arrears and legal costs.

Kindly respond on this email as to how you intend to settle the said arrears and legal costs, so that we may advise the Bank accordingly.

R23000 FOR WHAT LEGAL COST ?? I am acknoleding my debt an willing for a payment arrangement but R23000 in legal cost ?

Please absa stop trying to get easy money from poor people .
