Absa vehicle finance: doesn't adhere to agreements
I pay my vehicle installments manually as per a catchup agreement with Absa after losing my job and being unable to pay 1 months installments.
Every month I get a call and then I have to reiterate our agreement.
On the on the 28th of March I made my payment as usual.

On the 1st of April a debit order went down on my account.
When I got to work I called Absa only to be told that they can't refund my money because it is friday and that it would take 2-3 days to process the refund.
I was told by one of the consultants in the credit department that she will escalate my information and try and get a refund as soon as possible.

On the 4th of April I called at about 12 to find out what is happening with the refund as I had received no feedback, only to find out that my refund request wasn't even listed on my account.
A manager was put on the phone at my request and a refund of the money was done.
I asked for a recording of my 1st of April call and I was promised that I would get it as soon as possible.
I have not received any communication from Absa at all.

In all this I lost about R250 in fees and penalties. Because Absa made a mistake, now I have to pay.
