Absa Vehicle Finance
To whom it may concern
On the 17th of December I app**** for vehicle financing with Absa Bank & I was allocated to Nadia Spider to assist with my application.
I had been pre approved and was excited about the possibility of financing a vehicle with Absa Bank as a current cheque account holder. I waited for a consultant to contact me regarding my application and no one contacted me so I took the initiative to call and find out what was going on as I desperately needed a vehicle.
I had to call Nadia Spider daily for updates as to how the application process was going and this was stressful due to the fact that she never answers her calls or email despite the numerous attempts I made to reach out to her for information.
I had to speak to other agents who then couldn't assist because my account was handed to Nadia Spider (flaw in the absa system only one person allocated to you can help you), they too sent alot of emails wondering as to why she hasn't contacted me yet. Upon reaching Nadia I was informed by her that she can't continue with the dealership because it was not accredited by ABSA. I really wanted to give up the one person working for my bank who has the information I needed was not being proactive in ensuring that I am well informed of the process, I really felt like giving up.
As a last resort I called ABSA and a gentleman by the name of Anaph came to my rescue, I explained to him my situation and he assisted promptly. Nadia called a few days later requesting a quotation for the vehicle from me and not the sales man at the ABSA accredited dealership (Princes Benoni VW)
Finally after the sales man contacted Nadia she then sent the contract for the vehicle on the 7th of January 21 days after my initial application. I signed the contract and explained to her that my leave was coming to an end and I needed the car ASAP she didn't send the delivery note but rather didn't report for duty nor her supervisor was available to authorize for me to receive the delivery note.
I called whilst waiting at the dealership for the delivery note and Mrs Forbes assisted she only needed the confirmation of insurance and I sent her my iWise insurance documents.
I received the vehicle despite the high interest rate I received. Nadia needs to be trained more on empathy and understanding customer relations. She will cost ABSA alot of clients because of the little things she gets wrong. To this day she has not told me how much I will be paying but rather demands confirmation of insurance of which I sent to ABSA in her absence. I don't know if she is overworked or what but I feel working from home is contributing to her poor performance.
I am not happy at all ABSA!!!!!!!
