17 Mar 2022, 20:11 Absa vehicle finance I am a disgruntled client of absa vehicle finance. I purchased two Ford ranger vehicles from Ford and absa financed one vehicle Westbank the other. Wen covid started the banks gave 3 months grace period for payment and Wesbank did that on one vehicle. Thinking that absa was compelled to do the same I only again started paying on the fourth month. Out of the blue absa recovery calls me I need to pay 20 000 for 3months arrears. Me not knowing any better pays the 20 000 to absa thinking I'm in the clear. I never skipped one payment as my debit orders went off like clock work. December I went to Ford wanting to know what settlement amount on both bakkies were because I wanted later models and I was told I am in arrears with 35 000. I have contacted absa on numerous occasions and was told that someone would be contacting me but up till today no response from absa. I have all my payment proof of every month debit order being paid neva missed but I'm in arrears according to them. Nobody at absa can give me clarity on how I owe 35 000 on that one bakkie. Now I suppose my business name is tarnished also for slow payer or blacklisted but I have neva received clarity from absa after I was promised to be given a run down of my account. I have 5 vehicles and 4 of them with Wesbank why would I not pay one that I need for my business but pay the others? I am crying out for assistance. I once again have problems with my account at absa I'm trying to get a settlement on my bakkie but am told it's with legal again after I was assured that everything is sorted and the lady I was liaising with found the problem and she said that it was sorted I forwarded all my proof of payments but I still can't get a settlement amount I have mailed the chief financial manager on two separate occasions but he never responded to me I am really frustrated with *********** people at absa. Once again every body just conveniently passes the buck but nothing constructive gets done. I have never once ever received a statement from absa. I am in desperate need of assistance
