ABSA Vehicle finance
Why would ABSA Vehicle Finance continue financing deals for a dubious car dealership? The dealership admitted in an email that they made a mistake and there is no aircon in the vehicle they advertised and supp**** me with. The dealership has offered me R10000 to settle the matter but the aircon cost nearly R30000 and I say not acceptable. ABSA has not expressed any intention of stopping financing deals for that dealership even knowing that the dealership admitted that the vehicle was advertised with an aircon and it does not have one. (The question I ask myself is whether there is any money involved that ABSA is standing by the dealership? And if so, who is being paid?)

22 Oct 2022, 07:35ABSA has an ABSA approved F&I manager signing deals financed by ABSA vehicle finance on the sales floor of the dubious dealership, the dealership has expressed in an email to ABSA that they feel that I am trying to embezzle them to fit an aircon at their costs and all I want is the aircon as advertised. How is that possible as the dealership advertised the vehicle with an aircon and admitted to it in an email to ABSA vehicle finance. I purchased the vehicle via ABSA and should not be told to accept R10 000 in settlement or return the vehicle and the pay the dealership for km’s driven at AA rates. I purchased the vehicle, ABSA paid for it, the aircon should be fitted or ABSA should realise that they are dealing with a dubious dealership and withdraw all support to the dealership. I have been an ABSA client for many years and feel that ABSA should be supporting what is right and not turn a blind eye to dubious car dealerships.
