Absa Vehicle account: Payments missing

So I got my Absa vehicle statement in August and all of a sudden there's an outstanding 28 000 that I don't know about. When I called to enquire I was told that I have been owing my car since 2017, since 2017!!! how is that even possible when Absa repossesses your car if you miss payments by three months!!! This is ridiculous. On top of that I have to be the one looking for statements for the past three years to prove that I don't owe all that money. Whose fault is it that they can't keep track of their payments? I am fuming right now as I told Absa to look at my statements for the past year. This needs to be resolved asap. My statements for May June and July were showing the correct balance, suddenly August there's a false amount added to my outstanding balance
