ABSA: Unable to access any online archived statements

I need archived bank statements from ABSA (cheque, two savings accounts and a credit card) to complete my tax return. Initially I tried to download it but got the message "No statements found for the selected search criteria". So off to the branch I went. After queueing for half an hour the helpful bank official warned me that a year's bank statements will be R720 (*R60 / month) per account - the four accounts will be R2880 for the financial year! The hefty cost made me try the online option again - this time I was able to download archived statements for both saving accounts but the cheque and credit card accounts continued giving the "No statements found for the selected search criteria". Highly frustrating and reminded me of a Moneyweb talk about "ABSA offering the best share value of the South African banks because there's so much room for improvement".
