Absa turns a blind eye on *****ulent transaction

On the 13 December 2024 I requested a OTP for the amount of R34.58 for a online transaction. After submitting the OTP a huge different amount was reserved by a unfami**** name. I received 4 different OTP for different amounts and places. I immediately contacted Absa explaining that the huge amount that was reserved on my account is *****ulent because I asked for the amount of R34.58 and not the R12566.11., which is alot more than what my daily limit is.They only stopped my card and requested me to open a ***** case at the police station, which i did. I send all the documents to the Absa ***** department and to their dispute department. At the dispute department they said I must take it up with the merchant who reserved the transaction. How on earth must i do that if it’s a *****ulent transaction? That’s why i phoned the bank to stop the transaction. Why can’t a reserved transaction be stopped within 15-20min after it’s been done? On 15 December 2024 I received the transaction notification that the amount of R12566.11 went through. After almost 2 months of only automated responses the investigator informed me that my claim is declined because there is no security breach on their side. Is the purpose of a reserved transaction not there to prevent the transaction to be processed incase of *****? Can the bank not see the amount requested doesn’t correspond with the amount taken? Where does their so-called digital ***** protection come in? I’m devastated by their outcome of my case and will never ever put my trust in Absa again. They failed to keep my money save
