" 19 May 2021 at 11:12 ABSA Trust service When my 86 year old stepfather passed away, we reported the death to ABSA trust as the executors as indicated in the Will. The sole beneficiary being his 89 year old wife with dementia. Then the nightmare started: - Very slow and confusing communication. Excuses e.g. Covid. - Meetings: they forget about them and weeks later they want to have meetings that have already been done - They have not even registered as executors . The wife has been left without financial assistance and now her children has to provide for her living expenses. For how long ??????? "

There has been some progress since this, but they have NOT finalised the estate.
