Absa Trust Estate Administration failure to finalize estate

ABSA trust assisted with the administration of an estate of the late Mr Maritz. This estate was registered with the Master of the High Court in 2011

The abovementioned estate was under the care and control of Mr R Coetzee at Absa trust Services in Bloemfontein. The estate was administered by ABSA trust however was never finalized. The Master sent out a query sheet during 2013 indicating that there are various aspects that need to be dealt with prior to finalization of the estate. The Master confirmed that ABSA Trust did not comply with these request and to their knowledge the estate is still not finalized.

We requested feedback from Mrs Coetzee regarding the finalization hereof to which she rep**** on the 29th of June 2021 that she requires time to locate the file and revert to us. To date and after numerous follow up emails and telephone calls no reply was received from ABSA Trust, Bloemfontein. This matter has been dragging on for 10 years now with the beneficiaries of the estate being prejudiced by ABSA’s actions. It is evident that there is no end in sight as all requests to ABSA Trust are ignored.
