Absa took 80% of my pension after a payment hoilday
I am have been an Absa client since trust Bank days. During lockdown Absa offered me a payment holiday which I accepted cause my husband is without an income. He had a small informal business. On the 31 August when my pension came in, Absa took 80% of my pension. On the 21 August I got an sms that asked if I needed further assistance. I responsed yes as I am the only bread winner and answered that 50 % loss of income. As because lockdown my husband can't work. I now have no money to pay my bills or to buy food. I phine the call centre twice. The first time I called they told me to call again tomorrow. The second time I called they told me, they have no idea what is going on. Which is no help to me. How can Absa offer to help you with a payment holiday and then expect me a pensioner to pay the full amount in one go. You must I live, how must I eat. I can't pay my bills.
