Absa. They make customers go mad.

I feel like I’m going mad. Five days ago I go to Gardens branch to close a business account (small savings account, zero balance). The staff member phones around. I must email mybusinessbanker to close, branch can’t do it. I email. Five days later account is still open. I call the 0800 number. Seven times it says number not valid. Finally get through. Get cut off twice. Finally an agent. Did you email? Yes. I give the ref number. She says can take up to ten days. Go to branch. I say branch says they can’t close business account. Agent says that is not true. I want to close a savings account and I’m going to need anti psychotic medication pretty soon because of absa. I mean, am I going mad? What the hell absa. This is total insanity. I can’t get the bank to close an account.
