Absa the worth bank ever

I have had a personal loan with Absa Bank for about 3 years and I have never missed a premium because I had a debit order arrangement and in November 2020 I decided to top up my loan and still requested that they debit via debit order arrangement and ask that they continue to debit my account on the 25th but they stop debiting my account altogether and had to transfer and this shows in their records of which I requested a copy. I tried calling their call center and they made me hold till I was out of airtime and I bought more airtime only for them to tell me that they will not be able to assist me with my request over the phone and I informed the lady that I was calling from my hospital bed because I have just found out that I am pregnant and have a chronic illness, I still was not assisted. After being discharged from the hospital I went to Absa bank in Sandton square and was assisted by a lady named Tshepo and I spent about 2 and half hours at the bank because they could not assist me inside the bank and we had to call the different departments using the phone from the bank but still no luck... I informed the lady that I had changed my banking details and I needed to give them my new banking details and I was informed they could not help me with that either. On that day I was only able to update my car insurance details. Since then, I have been in and out of the hospital, and my credit record has been damaged by this *********** bank. Absa is the worst bank in South Africa. I hate that I ever trusted them with my finances and now my chances of buying a home for myself and my children has been delayed. If you are banking with them change banks before you have a bitter taste in your mouth and for anyone considering to do business with them try a different bank that will tell you more of how they can help you and not what they can not do for you and then ruin your life by damaging you credit scoring that you have worked on building for years.

Please help me make sense of Absa's reply.

Good day Mr Ngama (The audacity to get my gender and Surname incorrectly) after sending my marriage certificate ample times for my details to be updated. · Previously Ms S Nzama and currently Mrs S Mahesu

We refer to your complaint posted on Hello Peter.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, your complaint reference number is C-***9.

The matter was referred to our collections department for investigation and feedback.

They advise that the first instalment was due on 30 November 2020 for an amount of R2464.66 which went off successfully via debi check. · As stated on my HELLO PETER review that issues started after I topped up my loan with your bank of which the first instalment was due on the 25th of December 2020, and get your facts straight my debit order always went off on the 25th of every month not sure where you get the 30th of November.
On 29 December 2020, a payment for an amount of R2900.00 was received into the account, leaving the account in advance. · This amount was transferred into your loan account when I realised that your bank did not debit my account on the 25th as per our loan agreement. · To show that I am responsible I paid more than the amount that was due. The monthly instalment which was due on 31 December 2020, went off from the amount in advance and the account was left in the advance amount of R146.14. · Not sure why the above point is valid for you because it has already been established that payment for December was already PAID on the 29th December 2020 after noticing that my account was not debited on the 25th as per my loan contract, were you perhaps expecting me to make another payment after only a day of me making payment.
On 25 January 2021, an instalment for an amount of R2217.38 was due however no payment was received, leaving the account in arrears with an amount of R2071.24. · So from January 2021 the due date for my instalment changes from the last day of the month back to the agreed day, Magical. You say no payment was received when your bank did not debit my account and again as per your below point that proves that I have done my best to take responsibility, after realising that my account was not debited on the 25th of January 2021, I again took it upon myself to transfer the funds into your loan account. I am really not sure of the point you are trying to bring to my attention by your statements, but it cannot be to prove that I took responsibility for my loan and kept it up to date after your bank failed to debit my account as per agreement and I say this saying that no payment was receive when I had a debit order agreement in place. Payment of R 2071. 24 was received on 27 January 2021, bringing the account up to date.

On 25 February 2021, an instalment for an amount of R2456.32 was due however no payment was received, leaving the account in arrears with an amount of R2456.32. · Absa did not debit my account and this time I was in Hospital and could not make the transfer in February 2021, I however made the transfer for the 2nd of March 2021 for the 3rd time as per Daphne Le Grenge’s below point.
You made an on 2 March 2021, to pay an amount of R2457.00 on the same day and a due debit order was loaded using your Absa account. · Defeated by Daphne Le Grange A payment for an amount of R 2460.00 was received, bringing the account in advance with an amount of R3.68.
On 25 March 2021, an instalment for an amount of R2456.28 was due however no payment was received, leaving the account in advance with an amount of R2452.60. · Quiet unfortunate from March 23rd – 19 April 2021 was on sick leave and did not have Absa bank administration on my schedule, bare in my this after coming out of hospital the first place I went to was the Absa Sandton Branch of which I spent close to 3 hours trying to resolve this with no luck. Pull the camera footage.
The bank tried to make contact with you on 16 and 20 April 2021, to make a payment arrangement but was successful.

On 21 and 22 April 2021, you were called again and you advised we not debiting you and you and dropped the call.

You made another arrangement on 23 April 2021, to pay an amount of R3683.50 for two months and confirmed that a EFT will be made on the 25 April 2021 and debit order on 25 May 2021 as you are banking with capitec. Can I have the recording please . Firsly I am Mr Ngama and now I bank with Capitec…I might be fighting someone else’s battles here..Nxn ***********.

On 25 April 2021, an instalment for an amount of R2492.25 was due however no payment was received, leaving the account in advance with an amount of R4944.85.

On 25 May 2021, an instalment for an amount of R2526.42 was due however no payment was received, leaving the account in advance with an amount of R7471.27

The bank requires your new banking details to capture a debit order as it was never received.

Kindly note that Absa is legally required to provide an update of the client’s credit record to the credit bureau and missed or late payments will affect this record. · You are going to fix m credit record because you not debit my account was not my fault and I always came back and made transfer, the statements will prove that at no point did my account not have funds when you tried to debit as you claim. Conclusion: My Bank statements from June 2020 till to date and the all the recording from that period.
Please contact our Collections department on ***to conclude an amicable payment arrangement.

We extend our unconditional apology for the inconvenience caused as this is not aligned to Absa banks service theme of customer-centricity.

Trust you find the above in order and confirm we are closing our file herein. Your email is going on HELLO PETER.
