ABSA The WORST service provider.

<p>I got phoned by a telly dept collector on behalf of ABSA who demanded to know when I was going to pay my credit card arrears since it was last paid in Jan 2017. I explained that I do not have any credit card in arrears . I was then asked my date of berth to confirm that she was talking to the right person. She then told me that it definately is my account and she wants to know when I plan to bring it up to date. at this point I suggested that she e-mail me the account details so that I can scrutinise it. The e-mail arrived and as sure as daylight the last four numbers of the account was different. on the same mail I was informed that ABSA was going to debit my cheque account with the arrears amount to bring the account up to date. It is now a long weekend and I have to delay my frustration till tuesday. I still can not believe that the account numbers were not veryfied, and where did they get that incorrect information in the first place. This was the third phonecall in a week from the same number with the same story. This whole issue stinks of gross incompetance. Par for the course for ABSA.</p>
