ABSA taking over 3 weeks to close an account

<p>I went into an ABSA branch to close my current account.... paid the "closing fee" and 3 weeks later it is still not closed!!!!! Totally pathetic! Just mounting to the heaps of issues in the past, like leaving me stranded without a working credit card in Europe.... I thought that this would be the end of my battles with ABSA, but they just seem to keep coming..... How long should it take to close an account?</p>
