Absa stole my NPOs money!!!

On the 14th of September 2016 I went to deposit money from the NPO account to my student credit card as Absa allows me to transact online while I was waiting for Standard Bank to issue me with a card that allows online transactions.

I deposited R2000.00 into the Absa ATM in Mowbray and the receipt confirmed the deposit. Later I made a payment of R17.00 to Afrihost for the NPO website upgrade but, when I check my phone it reflects the available balance as R1120.00. By that time the bank was closed so the next morning I went to Absa to find out what happened to the R880.00 and they failed to give me an explanation. The consultant who was helping me told me to call the credit card department where I was made to hold for 20 min after struggling to get through a couple of times because the consultant did not explain that the recorded voice to their call centre has an error it says: "insert card number" when u don't have to... A ****ing waste of my time!

After numerous attempts inserting card number with the annoying recorded voice making me do this tedious process over and over. I ask the consultant to assist, she dismissively says "oh, sorry forgot to tell u not to put the card number" and carries on chatting to a colleague leaving me unattended until another consultant steps in to help.

By this time I am fed up with the service and I decide to close one of my accounts with them. Eventually I get connected to the credit card department where I was attended by Tiffany Gold Who also failed to explain where the money went and kept me on hold for almost 10-15 min. By then I was ruining late for my class and not getting answers as to where the money went. Tiffany keeps telling me she is "investigating" where the money went and confirms she can't explain it and asks me to keep holding while she "investigates further". I tell Tiffany that I cannot hold on any longer and I ask if she can continue with her "investigation" and get back to me . She agrees stating that she will call me latest by 16:15 but, she never did. With fury I start tweeting Absa for answers and they reply saying I should explain my problem and I DM them but no reponse as well from them.

On Friday, I couldn't get a chance to go call Tiffany to get an explanation. I got so fed up with their service to a point I started spreading the word to friends and family to switch banks and I will continue to tell all those close to me not to trust these *******!!!

How will I explain this to the funders? If the very people I trust with our money have no explanation? Absa u better return that money ASAP! We have work to do saving young people's lives and you are *****ing from the future of this country! Didn't Absa Bank ***** enough during apartheid? You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!
