ABSA *****s EUROS ......

I am a German National, I bank with a bank called Sparkasse in Germany

While in SOUTH AFRICA, I was at an ABSA ATM to withdraw money.

The machine did not give me the R10 000-00 I requested and gave me a slip that reads " THE TRANSACTION WAS UNSUCSESSFULLAND WILL BE REVERSED AUTOMATICALLY"

The next day, I tried again to withdraw R8000-00 at the same ATM and the same happened.

I have withdrawn from this ABSA ATM before and this was never an issue.

Now I see on my Sparkasse Banking APP the EURO600 for the R10k and Euro470 for the R8k is deducted and not reversed as ASBA stated.

I contacted Sparkasse and they say ABSA took the Euros....

I lodged a query with ABSA and got an email saying "Sorry, we cant help, speak to Sparkasse"

So ABSA, where is my R10k plus R8k? Or does ABSA make it a thing to ***** from Europeans that spend money in SA?
