ABSA *****ing money from pensioners

<p>Good day,</p> <p> </p> <p>My 88-year old grandmother lives in a small town called Wolseley. She is a pensioner and gets a small pension. She looks carefully after every cent. She is always very careful and only does the basics at the bank (she does not have internet banking or anything).</p> <p> </p> <p>When she received a bonus during the month of June of R5000 (which is a LOT of money for her), an inside job in the bank took place and the full amount of R5000 was ******. Subsequently her son assisted her in lodging a ***** case, getting a case number after going to the police and doing everything that is necessary for my grandmother to be reimbursed. </p> <p> </p> <p>After everything was submitted, Mr Elson Mashaba from the ***** department informed her that only half of her money would be reimbursed (despite the fact that it was an inside-job in Absa Wolseley).</p> <p> </p> <p>This is simply unacceptable that ABSA *****s money from pensioners.</p> <p> </p> <p>Regards</p> <p>Tinus Potgieter</p>
