ABSA ***** Sleeping on the Job

On the 24th March 2023, I was held under hostage in North West, Mahikeng and I was forcibly made to do an internet transfers of R85,000 and cash and a cash end of R5,000 to the guys who held me hostage.

As i was doing part of the transactions ABSA ***** realised that something was amiss with my account and they tried contacting me. I however could not talk as I was still under hostage. As soon as I got free I then contacted ABSA *****, who logged the ***** case - ***5. I was informed part of the money had not actually left the FNB bank where I was forcefully made to transfer. ABSA then advised that I would have my case closed in 10-15 days. I submitted my affidavit and sworn statement to ABSA and the police on 25th March. As a responsible citizen and in the spirit of having a good credit record I made arrangements for my transactions to be honored. Since then, I have been phoning ABSA on the reimbur*****t of my funds that were transferred *****ulently and I am not getting a response. As I got hold of the ABSA ***** division last week I advised them, the hole I had plugged for the transactions then needs to be replaced. I am almost at the verge of having all my accounts transferred to ABSA to a technologically capable and responsive bank as FNB. Can anyone out there maybe school me on how long it takes a ***** case to be closed. Today I have called ABSA ***** and I was attended to by Percy, who gave me a very warm and responsive reply. He however said he could not do much as he referred me to a Dumisani Mukansi who was handling the case. At the time of calling he said Dumisani was talking to another client and would respond and call back in the next 30-min - 45min. This is almost 5 hours and meanwhile my accounts are getting in the red!!!
