ABSA should repay me 61 238,50 plus interest (part 3 - final)
Dear Ms Crowe. Here is the third and final part of the review.,
7. Mr/Ms Pravesh Bejay Stated that the disputed transactions were effected by means of my PIN and password. The password used was not in fact the same as I had used. Thus Mr/Ms Bejay also demanded money under false pretenses. The staff at the counter of ABSA Swellendam advised me not to change my PIN number as I might forget the new one.
8. Thus, according to the evidence, an individual (or individuals) in Gauteng persuaded a Swellendam resident (Ms Carter) to give false information to another Swellendam resident (myself), generating a local quarrel between us. This false information resulted in a contravention of the CBP and three counts of demanding money under false pretenses. The above facts could be confirmed as a result of an investigation, which would include examining the educational, health, financial and ******** records of those concerned, then verifying their statements by cros****amination. I should however be personally content if I were paid back the sum ****** plus interest. I would not myself charge expenses, although, as an engineer with a PhD, I could command R 400 per hour for my time.
Trusting that this additional information will enable the head office of ABSA to decide in my favour. Until this incident occurred, I enjoyed pleasant and productive relations with the staff of your Swellendam branch.
yours sincerely,
John Hely-Hutchinson
