ABSA selling to me while asking them to help with debt

I phoned ABSA today to ask for their help to offer me a solution to consolidate my debt. After telling the person at the call centre my problem and asking her if she could make recommendations, she immediately says no, she is not allowed to give financial advice. Long story short, so I asked her if I should go into the bank and speak to a personal banker. She said no it would make no difference, so I went with her and she offering me a personal loan. While waiting for the process to complete, she start telling me about this policy package. In my mind, this is probably compulsory for me to take out as security for the loan. When she asked me if she can put me through to someone to activate the policy, I said why? I have not yet been approved for a personal loan, why must I already activate this policy? Then she says no, there is no relation between die package and the loan. My word: here am I struggling to pay my debt and wanting ABSA to help, instead the person "helping" me over the phone try to sell more stuff to me that I do not need. *** (excuse my ignorance and harsh words, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I am thinking writing a story for the media on this.) My personal loan was not approved and she could not offer me any other alternatives.

And the ABSA story continues... Friday, 27 May 2022 I received a call from ABSA in the afternoon. Being very excited about their swift reply, I waited to hear a kind of apology or suggestion. What I got is another call centre operator (I suppose) who offers me a home loan. I was amazed - asking him why he is offering me something that was rejected earlier that day. He was really surprised and said he did not know that (haha) and said he is going to let me speak to his supervisor. I said no thank you, "maybe you should speak to him". What is next?
